Filming has taken place here since 1920 with over 400 feature films having shot scenes. The area is very film friendly with many local experienced workers proud of the film making history of their area. The Lone Pine Film Festival and Beverly and Jim Rogers Museum of Lone Pine Film History focuses area on the film industry: past, present and future.
